"What I do is lay the visual groundwork for a shot, but I do it after it has already been photographed." Jon says, "It's a kind of retroactive set construction or production design. All the shots are storyboarded, true, but it doesn't become real until I work it. I give context to the action in the shot in the same way the writers have given context to ideas and feelings in the script." |
