digital moviemaking...

Breaking new cinematic ground, "Denali" is an entirely digital production. Instead of using dusty, time worn 16mm or 35mm film and cameras, the production will originate on digital video allowing for infinite manipulation and providing optimal image quality. Digital video is a dynamic format exploding on to the motion picture industry scene. Such successful independent movies as "Dancer in the Dark", "Bamboozled", "Time Code" and "The Last Broadcast" have found worldwide distribution and success and George Lucas' "Star Wars: Episode 2" and Robert Rodrquez's "Spy Kids 2" (both shot entirely on revolutionary Sony digital cameras) have transformed traditional production and presentation for the new millennium. "Denali" is on the cutting edge of a new generation of moviemaking.

Digital moviemaking is clearly the next evolution in the art of visual storytelling, allowing us to edit, mix and reconstruct our raw footage with greater freedom than on film. We can shoot fast, inexpensively and efficiently with minimal crew and maximum creativity. Dangerous sequences and extensive locations can be realized in the computer using a mixture of live action, animation and digital stills and video. The low budget, guerilla style of our productions is possible largely due to the ease of postproduction manipulation. Digital moviemaking is a virtually untrodden field and the extents of the technology as a storytelling tool have yet to be explored.
