Days 1-5 Days 6-15 Guides

DAY 6:
Today we will cache supplies at Ridge Camp (16,200) and return to Basin Camp (14.200) for acclimatization.

DAY 7:
Today we face the most technical section of the route, the Headwall (15,500 feet), a 90-degree, 800 foot high rock and ice face. Fixed lines will be used to ascend this wall. We will camp at Ridge Camp (16,200).

DAY 8:
We travel up 16 Ridge, an incredible stretch of exposed ridgeline offering the best vistas on the Route. We set camp at the unpredictable and windswept High Camp (17,200) and rest up for Summit Day.

DAY 9:
Summit Day! We traverse to Denali Pass, then up to the backside of Archdeacon’s Tower. We then cross Football Field and ascend directly to Kahiltna Horn. Following the Cassin Ridge, we attain the south summit at 20,320 feet. We then return to High Camp for the night.

DAY 10:
Travel from High Camp to Basin Camp, where we spend the night.

DAY 11, 12, 13, 14:
Extra days needed for weather or acclimatization if necessary can be spread throughout the climb.

DAY 15:
Today we descend to Base Camp and fly back to Talkeetna. From Talkeetna we return to Anchorage.
